ISSUE: You have some files that are not getting backed up. After examining the Log for details on these files, you realize that you do not need to back them up, and want to de-select them from the backup list. RESOLUTION: Deselect the file(s) from backup, and you will no longer get the warning message. - Determine the file name and location for the file that you do not want backed up.
- Open the Remote Data Backups software.
- Click the "Go" menu, then select "Backup View" then "Explore to Pick Files" (The Go menu is located in the top left of the Remote Data backups window.)
- Explore in the left window, by opening folders until you reach the folder in which the file in question is located.
- Highlight the folder in the left window.
- This file will now be displayed in the right window.
- Click inside the box located to the left of the file you wish to remove from backup. A rule wizard box will open.
- Select "Just this file", then click "OK".
- A red "X" will appear in the box indicating the file is no longer included in the backup set.
- Repeat for as many files as you wish to exclude.
