Which version am I using?Thumbnail images below show the software and System Tray icons for our 7x, 8x and Mac versions. You can also see the version in the software menu under Help / About.
What is a page file and do I need to back it up? Windows use page files as an “extension” of your RAM stored on the hard drive when additional random access memory is needed. You do not need to back up your page file, which tends to grow quite large. It is excluded from backup by default in Remote Data Backups. In Windows 2000/XP, the Windows page file is located at C:/PAGEFILE.SYS. In Windows 98, it is called a swap file and located at C:/ WIN386.SWP. |
