How do I deselect files to get below my limit in version 8x?

- Open the RDB software by clicking the System Tray icon, or from your Start Menu / Remote Data Backups.
- Click the Backup Set tab. The Agent scans the files on your computer to determine which files are selected for backup.
- Once the scan completes, your total selection and limit are displayed in the bottom line of the software.
To ensure backups complete successfully, deselect enough files to ensure Total Selected size is a safe amount LESS than Backup Set Limit. Keep in mind, your data will continue to grow. - Click the + next to the C: to expand your drive and navigate through your selected folders and files. The folder’s content displays in the right pane.
The check box next to a folder or file name indicates whether the item is selected for backup:
The item is selected for backup
Some items in the folder are selected for backup
The item is not selected for backup - To remove a folder or file from your backup set, click the check box next to that item until the check box is cleared (
). Tip: Click the "Size" heading in the right pane to sort by file size. If the check box is disabled, you cannot change whether the item is selected for backup. - If you have deselected all unnecessary files and determine you need more space, please submit an Upgrade Request.
