The simple answer is: Anything you can't afford to lose. This includes all your critical files such as... - Accounting, financial and POS files like QuickBooks, Quicken, Peachtree
- or your own proprietary practice management software
- Inventory reports, sales contracts and data, HR and payroll records
- Tax information (TurboTax, TaxCut)
- Email correspondence & contacts
- from Outlook, Outlook Express, ACT!, Eudora, GMail, etc.
- Microsoft Office files
- such as Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, Publisher documents and Excel spreadsheets
- Access, SQL, Exchange and MySQL databases
- Legal documents, corporate paperwork, business plans, marketing collateral, graphics, web pages, programming scripts, etc.
- templates, custom toolbars and dictionaries
- Photos, video and audio recordings
- My Documents and Settings, Favorites, Shortcuts, Desktop, Start Menu
If you are not completely confident you have all your critical data selected, you may want to ask your IT consultant for help.
